42nd Street - Birthday Meal

This Sunday was my mums birthday so to celebrate we decided to go for a walk around Plymouth Barbican and decided to stop at 42nd Street for lunch/dinner. Is there a word for that?

42nd Street is a New York themed restaurant with a range of dishes suitable for everyone.
Due to getting there around 3pm we stuck with the lunch menu.

The lunch menu contained a starter and a main course for £9.95 which makes it a really good place to go if you are on a budget or wanted to go out with a group of friends but not spend a lot of money. Just by looking at the pictures you can see that you get a lot for your money so its great for those with a big appetite but small amount of money.

We all went for pate related dishes for starters as we are the least creative family. There was a couple next to us that just came in for starters and now I can see why. If you weren't that hungry but needed something to keep you going then I would defiantly come here just for a starter. They are quiet filling without putting you off wanting your main but still enough for a quick pick me up.

The main courses are just huge! We couldn't get over how big our meals were and especially for the price. Due to us all being so hungry we dug in instantly and once we started there was no way we could stop. Sadly they were so filling that none of us could finish our food but personally I feel that makes it a successful meal.
Just look at the chips!! Sadly I found them a little too greasy for me but then I can be picky with food.
Can we just admire this bathroom please!!
Unfortunately we had no room left for desserts no matter how good they sounded but we will defiantly be back to try them. This didn't stop us from having lemon cake at home tho...

Have you ever been?

Talk to you later x
