Suffragette Film Review
There are some films that just makes you feel all the emotions. Suffragettes is one of those films.
The
movie is so powerful that you can't help but feel upset when things
don't go right, frustrated at what people were saying, acting and the
views they had, broken when someone got ill, injured or treated unfairly
and warmed due to the friendship created.
For
those who feel that this is a film just for feminists so you aren't
going to see it, you are completely wrong and I recommend you go
instantly. Just seeing what girls went through and what they did just so
we had the right to vote would make anyone a feminist. If you didn't
want to vote before you will want to after this film. Girls literally
died so we could vote and some people still don't even bother to do it
even if they aren't interested.
The
film left me in pain from digging into my hand not scream and holding
back tears. The story and acting is just outstanding. I did expect Meryl
Streep to be in it more but that didn't matter as Helena Bonham Carter
was just AMAZING you couldn't help but love her character. The main actress, Carey Mulligan, was perfect for the role. I've never seen any of her other movies but I am
desperate to now.
Whether
you are a feminist, a suffragette yourself it completely oblivious on
all of it I highly recommend watching just to learn and feel something
new.
