Rock Pools and Beaches

Rock pools have always fascinated me, the way that just the smallest dip in a rock can get filled with water and become a home to a number of different species. From the smallest of plants to the brightest of crabs, can be found in such a simple home created from nature, such a natural and peaceful element to watch.

Beaches; the place where no matter what the weather, it is always an entertaining location to just sit and watch. Whether it be during the latest heatwave where all ages go to soak up the sun and cool down in the peaceful waves. Alternatively, during a storm where you can never be to sure how high the waves will go but you know either way it will make for some stunning pictures.

Maybe I am just a critical person who hates people but don't you just love it when you go on an adventure where you get to a bit of the beach that there is no-one else? No broken sandcastles ruined by older relatives who want to go home or foot prints everywhere showing the trail of finding the perfect spot. Searching the rock pools that little kids cant get to and ruin by their excited and curious hands preventing the crabs from ever wanting to leave their hidden home. There's just something magical about finding one of the most natural processes untouched and ruined by the human race.

Maybe I am an unsentimental person but I love how at the end of the day the tide will come in and wash away the adventures that have taken place that day to make room for new stories to take place and new areas to be rediscovered.

There is just something about beaches and rock pools that fascinate me.

Talk to you later x
