Love Summer Festival 2017

This is a very much overdo blog post, sorry!

This summer I attended the Love Summer Festival in Devon and had the best festival experience to date. The festival lasts three days and you can either stay in a caravan/motor home, tent or tipis, we obviously choose the tipi because it just screams festival.
Love Summer is a family friendly festival but as a group of 20 year olds we still has a really good time due to the wide range of tents and activities they held.

At the festival they had multiple different classes such as Yoga, African Drums, Meditation, Pole Dancing and other stereotypical festival classes all free or donation based.
With this they had multiple tents selling home made clothes and jewellery, toys for children, dress up items and meditation cushions. Thankfully (for my bank account) I only took a small amount of cash as there was soooo many lovely products to buy and will 100% take more next time - oh yeah we are so going again and making sure we are in another tipi!
When it came to food, the amount of food stalls they had was crazy, there was a smoothie bar, pizzas, pasties, slushies, Thai food, burgers, mushroom based (that was a weird one) churros and more, it was amazing!!

Obviously as it was a family friendly festival there was children activities taking part that the adults were allowed to join in when they weren't dancing in one of the four 'night club' based tents. As we are big kids at heart we got our faces painted, tempted to do circus skills, got harassed by a pirate and held so many animals it was like being at a petting zoo. There was so many other activities that we never got round to do so I am interested to know what it would be like next time.
Don't get me wrong it is not a massive festival and if you can't do the whole weekend I would recommend going for a day as you will 100% be able to do most of the activities in one day, depending on what classes you want to do, but if you can space them out over the weekend I recommend this so much more.

Overall the festival was a really nice experience especially if you haven't been to a festival before or not into massive crowds, the atmosphere was very chill even in the evenings with the different bands playing. It really is a festival suitable for all ages and you could definitely see a range of ages all enjoying themselves.  The festival even for the tipi and staying all weekend wasn't expensive, nor was the food or items in the shops so perfect for students on a budget.

As you can tell I loved this festival as it was so chilled compared to V festival (I loved V festival don't get me wrong but it was nice to be able to actually sit down and not be rushed off my feet) I can't wait for next year!!

Talk to you later x
