Monk Barn Farm

The farm with its thatched barn dates back to the 16th century while the bed and breakfast provides modern ensuite comforts and facilities. Parking, wifi and breakfast all included.

We are just a few minutes' drive from Stratford upon Avon, the RSC and Shakespeare houses and an ideal location for visiting Warwick Castle and the Cotswold villages.

Monks' Barn Farm offers the best of both worlds - all the attractions of the town and all the pleasures of the country.

Exactly as advertised this cute b&b is an ideal location for exploring the scenic and picturesque towns that surround.

The rooms are big but cozy with little touches to make each room more homely, my favourite feature being the tea tray provided, I want one for my room.

As you can gather from the name the b&b is on a farm meaning you are waking up to the sound of sheep and the sight of hills and small bunnies waiting for their picture to be taken.

The owners, who are an older couple, are so friendly and helpful, even when we arrived late due to an accident and had lunch at 11am cause we wanted a lie in.

Breakfast is held in the living room with a wide variety of cereal and tea (which I enjoyed a lot) to chose from, along with the ability to get an endless amount of toast. Heads up, Nutella and marmite is a weird but oddly nice combination.

In both the entrance and living room there are loads of leaflets on what to do in the area, which is actually how we found all the activities, other then the driving experience (more on this soon) along with more activities for next time we visit.

Overall the stay was lovely, the beds are comfy, location is perfect and the views and so peaceful you can't help but relax and want to go on walks. Would definitely stay at Monks Barn Farm again, already planning my next visit...is a months time too soon?

More on my weekend away soon!

Talk to you later x
